About Us

We offer for boys and girls, 8-18 years old, with a desire to accomplish things they didn't think possible, the atmosphere, facilities and tools needed to create within themselves the self-esteem and self-confidence needed to reach their goals.

The unit meets on Tuesday nights in Morristown, IN at the volnteer fire department building, known as Dodd's Hall.  Meeting hours are 6:30PM - 9:00PM (1830-2100 hrs).  Each drill session is typically 13-15 weeks long and we meet for drill twice a year: August - December and March - June.

Our basic training, or boot camp, typically starts in August around the time school starts.  We have one basic training session per calendar year at this time.

Chartered since October of 2009, we have participated in events such as Morristown Derby Days, annual P.O.G. memorial run, Mt. Comfort Air Show, Camp Yale, and held a county-wide Veteran's Appreciation Day.

We stay active through-out the year, even when no drill is in session.

Adults are encouraged to stay and observe, volunteer for events and even sign on as a registered adult leader to help train recruits and work with the Young Marine troops.  Men and women both are welcome.
